This is my preferred place to get repair done. I believe the staff is friendly and honest and I haven't had any complaints about Check's. 4*'s because they didn't present me the option for replacing my serp belt with a shorter one to bypass my AC for the short term. I am not sure if they knew of that solution or even if that solution exist for my specific car so I cannot hold it to them. Overall do some research before any major repair but overall their pricing is very comparable to other repair shops.
Overall I have had the best experience at this shop. I have gone to and will never again go to D&D auto repair on Minnesota Ave. I got screwed over and bent over backwards there. I also will never let my wife take her car to Nissan dealership in Stevens Point because they took advantage of her and stacked on many things to an oil change.
Always a quick in and out service, no nonsense exhaust repair, simply cut out the old, install the new at a fair price. As I waited for my car to be repaired, I was within earshot of the staff explaining to customers the best route to go with necessary repairs, even letting someone know that the repairs would exceed the cost of the vehicle. Job well done, keep up the good work!

Check's is hands down the best auto shop in town! The owner is always friendly, knowledgeable and honest. His staff reflect these values and it shows in their work. I am always happy to do business with them and have never had a bad experience! I get my oil changed, tires mounted/balanced, exhaust work and other repairs done here on both foreign and domestic cars. Highly recommended!!!
I'll be honest, I try to repair my vehicle before bringing it in but there are times when I don't have the tools or knowledge. I've brought 3 of my vehicles in to checks and they take great care each and every time.
I'll admit, no repair is ever cheap and I am cheap. Last repair I had done was AC on my wife car, it cost $1300. I later found out I could have bypassed the AC with a smaller belt on our car which I would have preferred because we didn't have $1300 to fix an AC so it went on a credit card. I wish they would have presented that option for me.
They run a little high for repairs but will take care of emergency needs in a timely manner! Great owner.
