Very disappointed today. Senior turkey dinner barely warm. Supper time needs more than one waitstaff. We are fairly regular customers and brought friends here who told waitress he wanted hot food and it was not, so was sent back. Salads should be served before hot food or at least ask when customer wants salad.
- My hash-browns were swimming in oil from the pan.
Food was terrible and the service was even worse. If you need anything during your meal, you need to get up and find your waitress back in the kitchen (I watched many customers do this over the course of our visit) as the waitresses only come out of the kitchen to bring food to tables. That is also the only time they realize there are people standing by the door waiting to be seated, even though there is a chime that sounds in the kitchen when the front door opens. I saw customers come in, wait by the "Please wait to be seated" sign and just walk out because nobody helped them. We were almost one of those customers (and now I wish I was) as we waited over five minutes just to be seated. I could understand to a point if it was busy but there were only 11 other people in the restaurant (a table of six, two tables of two, and a table of one) Apparently their conversations and gossiping in the back are more important than the customers they were hired to serve. The fries were undercooked, oily, and inedible. When this was mentioned to the waitress, she said, "Oh" and walked away. No offer for a fresh batch or anything. I doubt that the kitchen staff was even notified. They have a horrible, bitter cheese sauce that they seem to drizzle over all their food. Had to wait almost 20 minutes after we finished our meal just to get the check. The best part of the meal was the old, gooey, mint I found in the back of my glove compartment that got the horrible aftertaste of this terrible meal out of my mouth. If you are looking for a 24 hour diner, go to Southpoint. It is so worth the two and a half mile drive.
I have been to quite a few Perkins before such as the one in Marshfield on many occasions and been quite happy. I think I will be avoiding this one for some time until they improve their experience.
The other person joining me at the table was not happy with their meal as well claiming that the onion rings and other fried items had a fishy taste to them that left a bad taste in their mouth.
The wait time was very long both times. Luckily the second time I was not in a rush and was there to conduct a meeting with someone. But we both agreed that it took an abnormally long time to have meals delivered to our table.
- I ordered a glass of milk after the meal had arrived and it had frozen chunks in it, which only arrived after having to ask for it twice and the waitress forgot what it was I had asked for to begin with.
This is a pretty average American restaurant. The staff here aren't super great but otherwise everything is pretty good.
I usually like Perkins. Food is generally good and quick. However, twice now I have been to this location and had bad experiences.
Food was great and the service was excellent. So many options that its hard to choose. When we were there it was but 3 get 3 free muffins and the were so good.
