Their buffet always has properly cooked food. Never soggy overcooked like some. Tastes great. Friendly owners.
Tried this for the first time tonight. Ordered crab Rangoon, pot stickers, egg rolls, hot and sour soup, wonton soup, sesame beef, shrimp with walnut, and sweet and sour shrimp. Everything was amazing. I seriously think this is our new favorite place.
First off. I'm not a huge fan of Chinese buffet but chef chus is barely a Resteraunt at all. You can eat better at a Panda Express. The entire buffet was 12 pans and a salad bar. Highly recommend somewhere different if your craving any Asian food.
Egg drop soup? More like egg ROT soup. I ordered some egg drop soup and orange chicken. Was eating the chicken, but it was so overpoweringly sweet and overcooked I had to switch to the soup. Soup tasted alright, but when I took it out of the fridge a few hours later it smelled kind of off so I put it back. 4am the next morning I was on the toilet and very sick. There was an unmistakable smell of the egg drop soup. After I finally felt better I want back to inspect the soup, and lo and behold it was rancid, smelling of rotten eggs. The next day I called to inform them and attempt to get a refund (the food was pricier than you'd expect for the quality), but I was met with denail. "Our soup very good, very fresh" was repeated over and over again. They claimed that if I did not go to the hospital I did not really get sick. Will be submitting a complaint and warning people not to go here.
Also our food was cold like it had been sitting around for quite a while and just bland. All around disappointing.
They forgot part of our delivery and instead of running it to us the lady on the phone kept yelling at me that the delivery guy just got back, not sure how that happened since he had only left our place literally a couple minutes before I called. Anyway, she wasn't going to send him back out so I can have a "credit" for the next time we order delivery. Not sure how that's supposed to work since she didn't take my name or even my phone number.
This was our go to place for delivery and their lunch buffet. No more.
