I will put in whatever effort necessary to not come here again. Mistakes happen, and I might have been understanding but they didn't attempt to apologize or explain anything regarding what happened: that's why I honestly don't think they care. There are two other U-Haul dealers in the area, all within about 5 or less miles of each other. Automotive Distinction Body Werks probably won't even notice your absence, since they'll probably close the shop when they want to go out for pizza.
If there was a less than 1-start option, I'd give it that. We rented a uhaul for 2:15, but when we got to the place, it was closed early. They were supposed to be open until 3pm.
I stood outside the business, stressing out even more about moving, and calling the number listed and got voicemail. I left one explaining that I was standing outside a locked door at my reservation time and didn't have a lot of time. We gave up because the 2 other u-haul dealers in Stevens Point didn't have anything on that short of notice (Yes, there are 2 other dealers in the area that might even be kind enough to be present during their business hours)
I got a call back from a guy there at about 7:30 that night. He didn't address or explain why the business was closed, or if there was a mistake. He simply said "I understand you were looking for a U-Haul?" I said, "I was, about five hours ago."
I don't usually write reviews, but I have nothing good to say about this business, and would give less than one star if I could. I made a reservation for a U-Haul at 2:15pm on March 4th. I got an email confirming my reservation and saying I could come get it at 2:15. My boyfriend and I only had a 2-3 hour window to move a few pieces of furniture before he had to go to work, which would have been plenty of time if we hadn't arrived at 2:15 to find the business closed during what are stated to be it's normal business hours, 9am-3pm. I don't know if they just left because they felt like it, or don't care- maybe both.
"Do you still want it? I'm wondering if I should keep this reservation or cancel it." Very thoughtful. I said no thank you, cancel it. Slept on the floor that night and a friend was able to help us move our furniture with a trailer the next day
